Oyster unveils the C60, its first sailing catamaran, at Cannes

Oyster Yachts introduced the Oyster C60, its first sailing catamaran, at the Cannes Yachting Festival on 9 September 2026. Developed with multihull specialists Berret-Racoupeau, the new design takes the British yard’s experience of ocean cruising into a format offering greater living space and a different way of spending time aboard.

The announcement follows more than a year of research with current owners, former owners and prospective buyers. According to Oyster, that work revealed growing interest in the space, stability and comfort of multihulls. Monohulls remain central to the brand, while the C60 adds another option for sailors considering coastal cruising or extended ocean passages.

A new design shaped by owner demand

Oyster CEO Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke explained that some owners had moved towards multihulls as their needs changed, while prospective customers wanted Oyster’s ownership experience in a catamaran. The project combines the yard’s experience of more than five decades with Berret-Racoupeau’s specialist design expertise.

The design brief brings sail handling, visibility, access, storage, maintenance and tender operations into the same discussion as comfort. Oyster describes the C60 as a 60-foot model; its preliminary specification lists an overall length of 19.42 metres, or 63 ft 9 in.

110 square metres of connected living space

Oyster specifies 110 m² of connected interior and exterior space. Wide-opening doors link the saloon and aft deck, with a bar serving both areas. At the stern, two fold-down bathing platforms and a central tender lift create a terrace beside the water.

A recessed lounge on the foredeck adds another outdoor seating area, while the elevated flybridge provides space for sailing, dining and relaxing. These areas are intended to offer owners and guests a choice of shared and quieter spaces during longer stays aboard.

An owner’s suite and three guest cabins

The owner’s suite is separated from the guest and crew areas and incorporates Oyster’s signature triple Seascape windows. Three guest cabins each have their own bathroom, alongside dedicated crew accommodation.

The selected accommodation drawing shows the hull layout for the version with the galley on the main deck.

Offshore ambitions and owner support

The design includes up to one metre of bridgedeck clearance and substantial tank capacity, features Oyster highlights for extended cruising. The manufacturer’s ownership support will include its Global Service Network, After Sales team and Bluewater Academy, together with access to the Oyster World Rally, Explorers Club, regattas and events. Dedicated multihull preparation and training are also being developed.
